To Quiet Evenings

For those who know me, it’s an unsaid fact that I love sunsets, quiet evenings, and the calmness of the night. This picture is that of the first sunset I captured in 2016. On January 3rd, I was in rural Kerala with a friend and spent a while watching the sun go down. To me, it was symbolic of leaving a very painful year of my life behind…

With this picture, I am ready to welcome all the experiences that 2016 has to offer. Even the first month of this year has been one of immense growth and reflection. Today, I want to appreciate this pivotal moment of life and acknowledge that while 2015 will always stay with me, I will bid it goodbye by growing as a person and making Bagheera (my baby who is probably running after carrots somewhere dreamy) proud of who I become.
