Solo Trip to Costa Rica

I spent a week in Costa Rica recently, solo traveling with a group of other solo travellers. Going on a trip like this was always on my bucket list and the timing of this trip worked out perfectly.

In the week that I spent in Costa Rica (specifically La Fortuna and Montezuma), I found myself living more fully and enjoying all the new experiences that were sprinkled into every day trip life. On part of the trip, I stayed in a cabin in La Fortuna. The cabin had a beautiful porch where I frequently spent an hour of the evening writing or reading as the sound of rain provided beautiful background music.

This picture is of the hummingbird that gave me company on that porch, hovering around the tree that hung over the roof of the cabin. It felt like a companion in those moments of peace (and in all honesty refused to be captured by a camera for two evenings). But then it came in clear view and rested so I could carry the memory with me forever. And now I’m sharing that very memory with you.
